Location of Work

The majority of our projects are carried out in-house via the internet thereby minimizing travel costs.  However, in order for this to work for existing plant modifications or additions, an experienced point-man needs to be assigned on site to collect all pertinent information regarding the existing pipe/equipment layouts, fabrication materials, locations of restraints and deviations from the drawings, etc., so that an accurate model can be generated.  If this role cannot be provided by the end user or their representative, SANTAMARIA ENGINEERING can carry out this function.  For greenfield designs, all information can be e-mailed back and forth and the pipe stress analysis services can be provided effortlessly from our office.

Fernando Santamaria is a registered engineer in the following provinces:

  • Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) – Since 1993
  • Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) – Since 2012

We would be willing to register with any other provincial professional engineering association as long as it is not a one-time request for our services in these jurisdictions.

Hourly Rate Invoicing

We offer engineering services on a win-win basis.  We charge out on an hourly rate so that our clients do not pay any more than what it takes to do the job right.  We provide an estimated budget to work with based on a reasonable amount of time to build and understand the model, for communication, possible re-work and report writing.

Note, if the hourly rate basis is not satisfactory, we are open to other types of arrangements that are more suitable to our clients.
